The Runaways Synopsis
The Runaways is based on the true story of an all girl, teenage rock band from the 1970’s that finds fame thanks to their raw talent and tough-chick image. The movie follows Joan Jett, played by Kristen Stewart, and Cherie Currie, played by Dakota Fanning, as the two go from rebellious kids in Southern California to legendary rockstars who paved the way for chick rockers around the world. Joan Jett is the groups pure rock’n'roll heart, while Cherie Currie is the lead singer and groups sex symbol.
The Runaways is sure to be an amazing film that captivates audiences and provides a glimpse into the rock and roll lifestyle of the 1970’s. The film currently has an 86% rating on Rotten Tomates thanks to 7 screener reviews. Here are some of the comments:
